Appraising gemstones and diamonds
American Gem Society (AGS) and Gemological Institute of America (GIA) are the standards in the jewelry industry. AGS and GIA are non-profit organizations and serve as the teaching arm of the jewelry industry and they are dedicated to the highest integrity and ethics when grading diamonds. AGS is also the only gemological laboratory which grades round brilliant diamonds for cut.
